Faculty

Our staff and faculty at WAES are committed not just to live for Christ, but to model in their everyday encounters what it means to follow Him. Our small size means more opportunity to engage students one-on-one to provide both academic support and spiritual encouragement.

Windsor Adventist Elementary School faculty play an important role in ensuring students are learning in a safe and supportive learning

environment. They foster positive, trusting relationships with students and improve the school climate by encouraging parent and family involvement in their student’s education.

Meet our faculty members

WAES staff believes the aim of true education is to restore human beings into the image of God as revealed by the life of Jesus Christ. Only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit can this be accomplished. An education of this kind imparts far more than academic knowledge. It fosters a balanced development of the whole person—spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social-emotional—a process that spans a lifetime.

Sylvia Clarke

Sylvia Clarke

Teaching Principal (Grades 3-5)

Mrs. Clarke started her teaching career in the Caribbean where she earned a diploma in teaching. After immigrating to Canada, she completed an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Community Social Services from the University of Guelph-Humber. She is currently continuing her studies with Andrews University.

Mrs. Clarke’s approach to education is influenced by the idea that students are to be prepared for a life of service in this life and the one to come. Therefore, she spends time cultivating the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of each child. Each student in her class is valued and accepted. Her goal is to ensure that every child that comes to my class understands his/her worth as it is in Christ Jesus. Mrs. Clarke encourages and motivates her students to believe in their capabilities and provides them with opportunities to show their skills and talents.
